I want to share something with you

The happiest 36 seconds of my day

This song, from the now defunct soap opera, “Another World”, has always been my favorite. It reminds me of going to half day preschool and coming home, eating lunch on the bed with my mom and watching soaps with her. About halfway through Another World (which came on after Days of Our Lives) I would fall asleep but this was still a great memory.

I’m actually sort of happy to be back to work today. This weekend was stressful and even though I had four days off, it is nice to get back into a routine and accomplish something other than cleaning my house from top to bottom, only to have it torn apart again from family in town, birthday parties, dogs not being able to go outside unsupervised due to the lack of fence where the tree obliterated it. It’s just one thing after another and I am eagerly awaiting a moment where I can breathe a sigh of relief and just relax. I fear this will not happen until October when Ash and I go to Chicago. I don’t know if I can wait that long. I’m all out of sorts this week and I don’t know what will bring me back.

Ash and I will begin watching season 2 of Heroes tonight. From what I hear, there are a lot of plot holes and continuity errors because of the writers’ strike. We’ll see. I was pretty happy watching the first season. It had a few similarities to Watchmen, which I found very interesting. Sort of proves that there’s only so much you can do with superheroes.

More x365 posts soon. I have to get back on the horse after all this craziness lately. For now, I have a project to be working on before quittin’ time.

  1. Hey..I LOVED the Another World theme song. Obviously, I’m older than you. Because I remember coming home from school and my mom watched it also. I was in 5th grade. And I’d sing that song at the top of my lungs!!
I’m glad to see someone else shared in my affection for soap opera theme song, lol!!

  2. My mom was hooked on the soaps when I was younger. “Days” mostly. I had a job where I HAD to watch Days every day with a client. It was his reward for good behavior. When I left that gig, I went through Marlena withdrawal . . .

And the second season of Heroes makes a lot more sense when you watch it in one big chunk. Like I did on Sunday. The whole season. Much more enjoyable, and not near as clunky . . .
