Monday lethargy

What I am supposed to be doing is grading papers and calculating final grades. Oh, but alas, I do not have one tiny inkling to delve into that project. I just got done with those bastards… I have no desire to read their papers. I need some away time from them. Geez.

Anyway, my weekend was mostly filled with Olympics, invitation making (for E’s birthday), and general cleaning. You know, the boring, mundane stuff that has to get done, lest we live in flith. I know when it’s time to sweep the floor by the amount of dog hair on the Boy’s clothes when he’s crawled around the house. Sad, you know? But I don’t own a roomba and I haven’t got money for a housekeeper.

We attended my friend’s graduation party on Saturday evening, which was quite fun. I had A beer. And I was reminded how much I like to drink beer. And how much I could have had another and another. If I weren’t depserately trying to lose weight, I would have, too. I think when Elliot turns one, we’re going to have beer. And lots of it.

This entry has been brought to you by the trailing effects of a latte and a decent night’s sleep. It did not promise anythign special or meaningful and it did not diappoint. I hope.

Happy Monday!

  1. Once I used to enjoy drinking. Then I got knocked up. And breastfed for 17 months. And now … I just don’t enjoy it the way I used to.

    Sad.

  2. Enjoy your beer when the boy turns 1. You will have earned it, I bet! In other beer related news, I had Guinness flavored ice cream tonight. It was great.
