Written on the palm of my hand

You know you’re tired when you dream about taking a nap. Only, in my dream about naps, Viggo Mortensen was there. Yeah, that’s a damn good nap.

Anyway, I am doing a lot of work today in the “getting ready for incoming grad students” department. I am also stressing about finding a new job (as always), money (as always), and on the back burner is the idea of whether or not to continue Elliot’s vaccinations. Ash got wind of the debate; whether it’s worth it or not, due to the increased risk of Autism. I just don’t even know what to think. You really just don’t know what could happen, you know?

Aside from all that, there’s not a whole lot going on around here. Elliot’s still not crawling but he’s trying. He has yet to fully understand the concept of using his knees to push himself up. He uses his feet to inch along and over the weekend, he performed a wonderfully skilled army crawl. He’s motivated but slow to grasp ideas, I suppose. He knows he wants the toy but oh, how to obtain it? It seems as if he wants to be mobile but he’s just not there. And that’s ok. He’s 8 months and 1 week and some babies don’t ever crawl. He loves to stand up as always and he’s getting more stable in the upright position. Soon enough, Little, soon enough.

But I’ve got work to do and even less time to do it in so off I go to type names and print things and… be bored.

  1. Summer B starts for me June 30th. Summer A and C start on Monday, C being the one that goes all summer, A and B the six week ones. The only upside is that I get the same pay as fall or spring over a shorter time, so fatter paychecks.
