We’re all different but…

At the mall, we spoke briefly with a woman who had about a 2 year old then an infant, who was in one of those front carrier things, like so. She casually mentioned that she drives around with her kid in the carrier and I dismissed it at the time but later on, I thought to myself, “She drives around town with her kid in the carrier?!? Holy crap, that’s dangerous!”

I may let Elliot cry for five minutes if I am in the bathroom and I may turn around for something while he’s on the changing table (he can’t go anywhere yet, people), but I am NOT going to drive anywhere unless he is 5-point harnessed into his LATCH system car seat, gosh darn it. There are boundaries and that woman has gone way past what I consider The Point.
