You know when you’re a kid and you think about how mature and responsible you’ll be when you’re an adult? Some adults still act like children.

I just read the flame war–good Lord. I see I should stay on top of my FSU email for entertainment. must say I haven’t seen a flame war yet here at UF.
Yeah, departmental politics suck; so do university wide politics, which we are still battling here at UF. I can only imagine that the political mess at FSU might include who exactly is going to be chair and who is going to teach American Lit?
I first thought of the flame war on the gs list too when I read this post – talk about a train wreck!
Well, it began with that but screw HC – she always does this. It kind of has to do with the chair in that anyone who is nominated DOES NOT want to do it and, therefore, will simply delegate. Mostly I am annoyed by people who have left the dept. coming back to start rumours and basically talk behind peoples’ backs. And the fact that some people who have been there forever let this kind of talk go on. Basically, I work for DCT and not the fourth floor so I’m staying out of it best I can, regardless of what they want to say about me.
