The illness

So. Last night I got the chills. Really bad. They started around 9:30 and I shivered all through the night. I felt… ok, this morning but I was so hot that no matter how much I laid under thr fan on full blast, I couldn not cool down. And then I would shiver. My dentist does not think I have an infection so he doesn’t know why I’d be shivering. But I tell you, I am freezing. I feel awful. I don’t want to leave work because I have used a lot of time already and there’s a practice test in French. But I am not doing good… at all.

  1. I could be what my grandmother calls a 12-hour bug–you get chills and feel like you’ve been hit by a mack truck for a night and the morning after, then you start to feel better.

I’ve also heard that if you get a chill, someone has walked over your grave. Maybe someone’s dancing over yours? (I figured since it’s Halloween month, it was ok for me to bring up that superstition 🙂

  2. heh heh, maybe so. I am feeling ok but I’m achey and now I am going back and forth between hot and cold. I’m hoping the chicken noodle soup will do me good; my husband came home to care for me too 🙂

  3. After nearly a week of the stomach bug, I do not envy you right now, but I can certainly sympathize. Pop the tylenol and keep the gatorade flowing. Hope you feel much better really soon!
