NFL Sunday countdown

So this morning, I awoke feeling rested, unlike the night before. I got up and puttered around a bit before deciding that, indeed, I would spend some time getting my Halloween decorations put up. Each year I try to buy a few more but each year, it feels like I have the same small collection. I have a tin ghost that says, “Haunted house” that I put under the front porch light. I have a string of leaf lanterns that I hang above the garage door. And then there’s my little cemetary, which has increased by one tombstone (so far) this year. When October 13th rolls around, I will probably buy more. I think we have an excellent front yard for decorations, no matter what holiday.

In football news, I’m taking a risk by playing Stallworth instead of J. Lewis. Match-up doesn’t look too god for the Ravens and Stallworth did practice yesterday, despite injury. He didn’t play last week and I should have realized his injury and not played him. I picked up the Jag’s rookie, Jones-Drew, and I am hoping it’s a smart play. I am in 2nd place in our points league but only down less than 1 point. This is a crucial week.

I have been smelling that wood-burning scent a lot the last few days. I swear it is the best smell in the world.

Time for a sandwich. Happy October 1st!
