As noted in the sign up post, I decided to highlight beers I have liked. I know this sounds very surface but a lot of my personal life/hobbies revolve around it. We are homebrewers and I have – as of today – 4,570 unique check-ins on the app, Untappd. I keep track of all beers and rate them there. So, without further ado – H

I had to pick this one because the name is ridiculous. Come to find out, that’s apparently a line from The Big Lebowski, which it might surprise you to know, I am not that fond of. It’s also amusing to me even, that I don’t like it because I do like a lot of Coen Brothers works, such as Oh Brother Where Art Though and The Hudsucker Proxy.

Anywho, this beer is a coffee stout that we had in 2022, and based on my untappd check in, we were clearly doing a bottle share at our house, which was pretty common back in those Covid days. Not my photo but here it is:

While I have outgrown stouts recently, a good coffee stout is still fantastic. Ash and I both gave this a 4 so it must be good! He doesn’t even like coffee unless it’s in a beer and even then it isn’t always done correctly. Remembering those days is nice; we hung out with so many friends during that time and honestly, it was so much more fun than now! I.E. those people were our lifeline during the lockdown/Covid era and I will always think fondly of them
