A to Z Challenge – D is for Da Capo

Yes, I am behind.

As noted in the sign up post, I decided to highlight beers I have liked. I know this sounds very surface but a lot of my personal life/hobbies revolve around it. We are homebrewers and I have – as of today – 4,570 unique check-ins on the app, Untappd. I keep track of all beers and rate them there. So, without further ado, D!

D is for Da Capo from Grace Note in Jacksonville. We first encountered this brewery not this past Fall but the September before when Thomasville, Georgia had their first beer fest. I was sadly not in attendance but club members met with the head brewer and made a connection such that when we went to the Legacy Home Brew fest, we stopped into his brewery and talked to him for a couple hours! In fact, he brought out some old cans to share with us, since we all know and enjoy the craft.

In 2025, Ash and I went back to the Legacy fest and made a point to hit Grace Note again. Almost every beer I have had from them rated very highly. Da Capo is a light lager with a complexity you would not believe for the style. I rated it a solid 4 and would drink it again and again.
