As noted in the sign up post, I decided to highlight beers I have liked. I know this sounds very surface but a lot of my personal life/hobbies revolve around it. We are homebrewers and I have – as of today – 4,564 unique check-ins on the app, Untappd. I keep track of all beers and rate them there. So, without further ado, the third day – C!

If I had to pick a favorite brewery here in my town, it would be Deep. While lately they’ve chosen some styles I’m not fond of, the place and the owners have been good to us over the years. They still let us hold our meetings in their old tap room, even though they’ve opened a new big one right next door. They accommodate us so much because the head brewer used to be in the homebrew club! He ‘gets’ it.

Chamber Goat is a coffee blonde that gets the balance just right. Sometimes beers overdo it with the coffee but this one gets it just right. I’ve had this many times over the years and while it got a solid 4 my first time, I’d say it averages out at about a 3.85, were I a paying Untappd member and could do ratings not on a quarter point scale.
