As noted in the sign up post, I decided to highlight beers I have liked. I know this sounds very surface but a lot of my personal life/hobbies revolve around it. We are homebrewers and I have – as of today – 4,564 unique check-ins on the app, Untappd. I keep track of all beers and rate them there. So, without further ado, the second day – B!
B is for Bahnhof, a Helles Lager we partook in around the end of June 2024. While visiting Phoenix on our family summer vacation, we pinpointed Wren House as a brewery that had many styles we enjoyed. At the time, we were making our transition from heavier beers into lighter style so this light lager at 4.9% was a good choice.

Their tap room appeared to be in an old house; behind the above bar and seating area were little alcoves and walls, rooms to sit in and amongst others. We gave this silver award winner (in Untappd) a 3.75, which makes the cut for “beers I’d for sure drink again and/or seek out.”
The fun part about this being named “bahnhof” is that at the time we drank it, the idea of going to Germany had not yet materialized. Once we did make it to Germany, in the fall of 2025, we got off the “bahnhof” – the train – and immediately drank a Helles, though it was made by Paulaner.
