- I don’t understand how March went so quickly! I was writing the dates for this week on our living room white board and as it veered into next Tuesday, I realized we’re about to be in stupid April. For me, April always has felt harried and expensive, though fair to say, March put me out as well, and May tends to be crazy busy with tons of end of year things. Guess it’s just SPRING that is like this!
- On that note, boy am I looking forward to Summer. I know it is a while from now but I am ready to have time… to do anything. I am amassing a long list of stuff to get done once I don’t have to go to work every dang day. This includes: cleaning out kitchen drawers/cabinets, putting up some signage we bought in Germany/Czech, yard work, and organizing our upstairs storage area.
- Had a really good Wednesday. Classes went well, I left and got my daughter registered for camp, then my husband called and he too had a great day so he wanted us to do our run/walk right away then get Texas Roadhouse to-go. Yes please! It was a nice treat. After that, we watched a movie with our middle and we all enjoyed it. (Nirvanna: the Band, the Show, the Movie)
- So yeah, instead of our normal long walks now, we are integrating some running. We went 3 miles yesterday did it as a quarter mile run, quarter mile walk, etc. It’s always rough getting back into running but worth it. I missed it. My hip has been hurting since December and it isn’t really going away, but it’s manageable and the run was fine.
- I am both accepting and not of my impending birthday (tomorrow). I have a bad habit of wanting people to ignore it because I mean, it isn’t all that special but at the same time, I feel a little hurt when people don’t remember it.
- We have a meeting tonight and then have to prep for our weekend trip to Gainesville. I love this festival and am excited to go, though I’m starting to get jaded on them. We put a lot of effort into brewing, love tasting good beers, and we know a lot about flavors, etc. Half the people who attend these kinds of beerfests really don’t appreciate any of that. And sometimes it just feels bad.
- I’m subbing a class right now and while just standing here, I took my ARK test, which really just assesses what your religious knowledge is. I don’t know how I did but it forced me to file through my brain, that’s for sure! I haven’t had any formal Catholic teaching in a loooong time.
