1.Are you a naturally trusting person? Is trust built on logic or ‘gut instinct’? Does everyone deserve a second chance? Elaborate.
You know, I do feel like I trust too easily, even though I find myself being really suspect of motive. I don’t know if everyone deserves a second chance; depends on your character. Generally good people probably do, yes.
2. ‘Beware the Ides of March’…March 15th on the ancient Roman calendar, these words were made famous by William Shakespeare in his play Julius Caesar. Caesar was assassinated on March 15th 44 B.C. Have you read any Shakespeare? If so, do you have a favorite? Have you ever been to Rome?
Never been to Rome but definitely reach Shakespeare. I used to crap on him, saying it was archaic to still teach it to kids but then this last Fall, I taught Macbeth and I – and my class – enjoyed it. So yeah, that one is good. I also read Romeo and Juliet and it’s fine. I need to rewatch Hamlet and maybe reread.
3. Do you like a Caesar salad? If given the choice between a garden/house salad or Caesar which do you order? Anchovies or no? What’s your favorite salad dressing?
Not really. I’d take a house salad without onion and honey mustard on the side any day. And no thanks to the tiny fishies. Fave dressing, while I eat dressing VERY rarely, is Ken’s Golden Italian.
4. Where do you typically work (or blog if that’s easier) at home? Do you have a dedicated home office space? Are you happy with that space?
At home, I used to sit at the kitchen table, which is not in my kitchen nor a dining room, but an area in a sun room we have. I do not have a home office but once my oldest moves out, we might.
5. Snow drops, daffodils, lenten roses, crocus, hyacinth, or early tulips…what’s your favorite early Spring flower?
I enjoy tulips.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I am so stressed/pressed for time this week. It feels entirely overwhelming. I need a pedicure but can’t figure out a time to do it. Between finalizing grades for quarter 3, grading ahead for classes online so next week I can take a break, and just the day to day driving and cooking and all that, I just cannot. Plus, my daughter messed up her phone and while I am in no hurry to get it back to her, the process of getting it repaired is such a hassle. For one, the local places are not allowed to fix a cracked screen, per Google. So I have to mail it but the site where I am ALMOST to the place to print the return label just keeps spinning. AND it’ll cost. SMH. I feel ill-equipped to handle today and am ALMOST about to leave “sick” at the end of teaching. Is that weak of me?
I know I go heavy on the dressing, which I am aware isn’t the “norm” haha, but I am also surprised by the number of responses to that prompt that are saying that people are using little to no dressing!
