Since I didn’t do a Monday weekend post, I thought I’d do a brief write-up of things, lately

• We went to El Jalisco on Friday night; the food was amazing and a salve on my GARBAGE week
• My daughter’s soccer team won their game Saturday (7-5)
• We watched Piranha and Piranha 2 (both pretty cheesy), Streets of Fire, and Death Spa over the weekend. All of them were pretty hokey but highly entertaining for their B-movie goodness
• We tasted the porter we brewed a month ago and while I liked it, Ash said it was lacking body. I think it might clean up and still be good
• I got a lot of cleaning done that was on my to-do list; I thinned out my aloe plant as well
• It rained Sunday, defeating all the leaf-blowing I did Saturday, which made me very sad
• We picked up some pallets from a friend’s paint store so we can create a landing place for firewood to dry out
• I just found out a friend of mine has a brain tumor and is going in for surgery asap. I don’t even know how to process this one just yet
• I bought tickets to see Lorna Shore in May. Ash is coming; he’ll hate it. His choice!
• I’m trying to find some things to ease all this stress; any ideas?
