- I had my Wednesday post mostly done but then…just never got there. It has been a long, busy week, but we are about to be rewarded for it. For one, my principal is actually already gone for the holiday. For two, this is the first day I am letting my students do…nothing of importance. We are literally going to fill and color a gratitude jar. I want them to of course write and draw good things in it but it is in the vein of Thanksgiving and not school work. Besides, most of them report they have a test or quiz today in other classes so why bog them down?
- Last night was pretty fun; we went for trivia and Ash got home in time to drive up and meet us. We didn’t win any rounds but I feel like it was a pretty busy night, with lots of good teams. It was our friend’s birthday and her husband surprised her with a pie flight. He had purchased 5 different types and cut them into sample sizes for everyone at the table. Good times.
- I have been insanely busy and worried about said work all week; so much so I’ve woken up in the night thinking about stuff I have to do. That’s pretty bad but I also think it’s a pretty good indication that I care, at least. Right? Yeah, that’s what I am going to tell myself.
- I just realized we are less than a week from Thanksgiving, which means I’d better take this 20 pound bird out of the freezer soon. I plan to defrost it in my outside fridge, which is much colder than my new inside fridge, funny enough. All that old stuff was just made to last.
- I don’t have weekend plans but I am sure we will come up with some. We do have to work in the yard and continue putting our closet back together after the AC job. Hope everyone has a nice weekend and if I don’t see you in the next week, happy Thanksgiving!
Good to hear from ya- I can imagine how busy you are! I think waking up thinking about school is a sign that you care. I think that dreaming about math formulas is proof that I care. That´s what I did last night. Just having a dream about the area of a triangle… as one does! Trivia night sounds fun, well, the pie eating sounds really fun. I´m not so good at trivia. I hope you have a great weekend!
A pie flight! That sounds like my kind of flight. I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday break, time with family, and catching up on whatever you need to catch up on. Enjoy your weekend too!
