Classes have gone well today; kids participated and I think they like what we are currently reading (Macbeth and the Rime of the Ancient Mariner, respectively). I feel like I was way out of it on Wednesday and didn’t bring my A-game to class.
In fact, after our faculty meeting, I gave up. I told my husband I didn’t feel like cooking. It worked out though because my oldest went to work and my youngest had pizza at youth group. So we took Isaac with us and went to a local place because I wanted a burger. We lucked out that Wednesday’s special was $12.95 burgers! Not a bad deal, I will say. The one I normally get is 16 usually. We hadn’t been to this place in a while and the service is still excruciatingly slow, but the food was good. We then went to the Spirit store for Isaac to get a costume. I like that at 15 he still wants to dress up. Fair to say, he is meeting friends at a trunk-or-treat and he may even go out on the 31st; TBD.
Speaking of costumes, we are going to trivia tonight – for the first time in months! – and plan to wear our German trachten. When else will we get the chance, short of any Oktoberfest celebrations each year?
I was shocked by Monday’s hack that affected SO many sites. Once of those was AWS, which is a database service for many sites, including Canvas, which is the LMS of choice for a lot of schools. That unexpected downtime really sent my courses and my week trajectory off the rails, as I could not log into my classes and work. (These are my college classes). Now it’s Thursday and I am furiously trying to catch up!
