- So I have decided to branch out in my job searches and apply to banks. I don’t feel like that would be a bad job for me, considering I have worked with the public for a long time now. I mean, teaching required it. Being in admin at a University required it. Once, long ago, I sent two years in retail. So here’s hoping!
- Yesterday was nice: I decided not to bike (I’ll be doing that today), I graded, I tidied up, then went to get my daughter and the store. We had burgers and then at 2, we saw a movie. When we got home, I made some dinner for the kids then Ash and I took a walk. Elliot’s girlfriend was over and then in the evening, we mostly just sat around. I needed that day!
- Oh, I also started applying for K-12 teaching jobs at private schools. I’m not certified, though you’d think having 20+ years of college teaching under my belt might count for something. I’m willing to move to high school if need be. At least you’d know my summers would be enjoyable.
- Today has seemingly gone quickly. Worked early then did the bike, went to Target and Publix. Ate a little chicken salad and felt really tired. Ugh. I floundered about for a min then put some music on and puttered – putting stuff away, dishes, etc. My daughter has a friend over swimming and I thought I might go out but eh. I spent all Sunday in the sun as it is.
- So yeah, that’s all I’ve got to talk about today. Just trying to write a little each day, since the first week when the kids don’t have school just feels…so…weird.
We had a very low-key day yesterday, too. I did a lot of puttering about in our house!
I think it’s a good idea to branch out on your job search.
Branching out might be fun. I think most schools have a path to certification, particularly with your background. You start with a provisional type of license. A change might be fun for you.
