H is for Home
Everyone loves to go home, right? Ok, so maybe that’s not true but for me, the time of day when I get to go home is magical. Even if I know a kid might be annoyed by me or my husband may be in a grumpy mood or even if there’s some aspect that’s annoying, like a troublesome appliance, going home is still wonderful.

We finally moved into “the big house” and I felt like I’d stepped up a level in life. We got a big ol’ house with plenty of space and a pool. I loved it and having a new space to take care of made me feel good.
I cherish the moments I get to be home; I enjoy taking care of it and making it cozy. I don’t care too much about it being perfect or perfectly decorated; so long as everyone on it feels like it is a place the enjoy going home to. As they say, that is what makes a house a home, and for mine, I am grateful.

The old saying, “Home is where the heart is” sounds like it definitely fits your life.
I’ve lived in many, many homes since I left my childhood home. Many were rentals, some were short term purchases, some were just apartments. But the home I’m in now is where I will stay until I die (or get moved into an assisted living place).

I’m not a fan of the term “homemaker”, but at the same time, I feel it’s the best descriptor of my main “job” for several years. Both of yours look very homey 😊
