- It only just now occurred to me that yesterday’s post mentioned “forward progress” in the title but I didn’t write about it. I got an email Thursday about the bank job (marketing though) and then apparently, the recruiter set up an interview yesterday… but failed to email me! He called me yesterday and told me so, and now we have it set for today. It’s on Teams, which I, coincidentally, just uninstalled from my computer. LOL. We’ll see how it goes; I know two people who work there and it seems ok. Pays more, that’s for sure. I’m going to leave about an hour before it and go home to set up and be all ready. So, really, I am only working for about 4 hours today, since the kids had dentist appointments this morning. No complaints!
- Last night, we watched Young Sherlock Holmes from the 80s, which I’d never seen but it was, coincidentally, written by Christopher Columbus. The movie felt and looked so much like the first Harry Potter, which is amusing, since C.C. directed that. Interesting indeed! About halfway through the movie shifted away from that to being more like Temple of Doom but it’s just a reminder that almost everything is derivative.
- It’s cool this morning but our highs have been hitting 80. Not too bad for mid-April. Yesterday was Isaac’s birthday so he opened his gifts – a new electric toothbrush, pillow, and some Robux – and then Elliot took him up to Academy and bought him a new basketball, then they played together. In fact, all the kids have been playing outside more and the boys, basketball almost every day. It warms my heart, I tell you.
- This week is quickly becoming busy, with appointments and other things, then, as mentioned, we have another beer fest this weekend. Just attending this one and it’s down by the beach. I think I’ll wear my America, “We the people” tank top because the next holiday is Memorial Day so I figure we are firmly in the American holiday times, right? Right? Well, I’m gonna run with it anyway.
- OK, time to work on my Wednesday ‘Podge post and then maybe do some “work”. 😉
