Random Tuesday – Ain’t got no time

  • So I may have mentioned that every weekend in April is booked; the final one being reserved for something for Isaac’s birthday, since he’ll be 14 and that’s the only free weekend we had. I don’t think he wants to do anything major but that Saturday is his. March was looking much the same, with only one free weekend and I was thinking maybe Ash and I would go to eat for my birthday but now, looks like we’re headed to a local place that Friday to watch March Madness games with a friend. I mean, we can still do a dinner too but as previously mentioned, I want to have a dinner with a lot of my friends but since they’re all from different groups, there’s really no point. I guess what I’m saying is that I want a weekend to do nothing!
  • This coming weekend, we’re headed to St. Augustine to attend a local homebrew club’s collab brew with Dog Rose, which Ash and I have been to before. It will be nice, though, to try their beer without being hungover. LOL. It was April ’22 and we went to a concert Friday night and may have overdone it. So Saturday morning, we got up and went into the historic district, etc, but really did not feel like drinking. Should be a nice, yet quick, weekend.
  • After this weekend, just one more week of in-chamber Sessions and then they’re done! At least, they should be. They only really extend if they don’t settle on a budget but the house has already started to meet with senate, so here’s hoping they can reach an agreement on time! We’re hosting the club brew at our house the next day so if they finish at a reasonable time on Friday, I can at least go home and get the house ready. Thank God.
  • My go-to online job (SNHU) put me on one pending section this next term and it hasn’t opened yet. I am holding my breath that it does but also, doing my budget with and without that $$. I hate that; it was my solid job for so very long. Pretty sure I started working there right when Isaac was born and, as above, he’s about to be 14! So send good vibes, pray, whatever, that that section opens up. We have way too many trips planned to be down!
  • How many times on this blog have I talked about that uncertainty and in the end, it always works out. I get myself into this loop of self-doubt and worry and we always make it work so you know, one day, I’ll learn how to cope. LOL.
  • Getting stuff done today! Edited two amendments, made birthday reservations at a steak house in Thomasville, and created the invite for the release of the beer we made with Lake Tribe. I am feeling better already!

  1. You got this! I still worry about things but we were talking the other day about all of the things we worried about that haven’t happened. We wasted time worrying when instead we could have been enjoying life. (this is all easier said than done and I know that! haha)

    1. Isn’t there a famous quote about everything I ever worried about never happened? I feel like I am constantly in that position. LOL. Thanks for the encouragement.

  2. I can appreciate a weekend to do nothing.

And you’re not alone. Sometimes, it seems like worrying is a hobby – it takes up so much of my time! I’m working on getting rid of it.
