- Yesterday was productive! Got my queue down to 7 drafts before heading out 30 mins early to hit the store. Then, I had about 15 mins before we all left, took Elliot to work, then the 4 of us went to Chili’s. We never go there but the “3 for me” deal they have now seemed intriguing and indeed, was worth it. 11 bucks for a drink (didn’t help us but the kids got sodas), an appetizer, and a burger? That’s sick in this economy! Then we took Dakota to Girl Scouts and got some stuff done in the house. Isaac and I did the tree decorating and Ash worked on speaker wiring. We got Koda and I could finally sit and relax. It felt like a good use of my evening.
- Sadly, I am back up to 19 drafts to edit it now, which is how it works – the drafters finish, send them to the editors, and then they go back to them, etc. Submission deadline for Members is next Thursday so it’s a mad rush!
- I couldn’t figure out what to get my parents for Christmas so I’ve been working on some photo collages. I mean, what do mid-70s folks even need? We already got my dad the “best slippers ever” and then two years ago, Ash got him these headphones for the TV so he doesn’t bother my mom and that was, according to him, the 2nd best gift, after said slippers. So I don’t know.
- I’m both loving Christmas music and hating it. By the afternoon, I have to move off of Christmas Traditions to another XM station, if not to youtube to pick the songs I want. It’s very easy to become sick of those same songs. Though, I will always turn up Carpenters’ versions of things.
- I’m overwhelmed as heck so I am getting fried chicken to make me feel better. Just letting everyone know. Also, I’m out. Have a good weekend!
