- Fall finally decided to come to North Florida; a lot of the trees are turning colors now – mostly yellows and oranges. There’s a few in my neighborhood that are all bright yellow and so so pretty. I should take some pictures because even in my yard, I have some. It’s beautiful. Sadly, it is also gray, rainy, and cold. Oh, don’t forget windy!
- Feeling sort of bad about all the eating and drinking we have done lately. It gets harder to go back to healthy when you have so many opportunities to eat like trash. Obviously we all deal with the holidays this way; so many gatherings and bad foods.
- Today is the filing deadline for all House members so we will know the total number of bills to be drafted then edited. So far, it’s a lot less than last year but as I have said before: last session was notoriously “the worst” they have basically ever seen. And for me, all I have to go on so… not that bad? But I have gotten A LOT of drafts to work on the last two days so there is that.
- You know, what’s a little more work on top of horrifying stress over money and holidays, 5k training, kid field trips, solo parenting, trying to keep my weight under control, trying not to drink all the beer, and everything else??
- That last one needed to be read with a nervous last at the end because it is pretty dang overwhelming.
- Last night was decent though; left a little after 5:30, picked up a pizza for the kids, got some good stuff done around the house, and only had one minor yelling episode when the kids kept poking at each other. But we made it past that; I made them work together to sweep the kitchen and I think they *finally* understood where I was coming from. Watched the game until halftime then went to bed, though didn’t fall asleep right away. BUT I did sleep really well so there’s that.
- I brought a salad today but I really want Chipotle. Ahh, the endless struggle…

I agree with John – eat the salad tomorrow and go get Chipotle – you can make it a healthy bowl!!

We’ve about reached the end of our fall, I think. I’ll miss the colors and weather, but I’m glad to be done with the raking.
