1. what you did you do today?

(Written Friday) So far, I got up around 5:45 (30 mins before alarm and couldn’t get back to sleep), drank coffee, played a tablet game, saw the oldest and youngest off to school, took my middle to cross country practice, and came to work. I edited a tribute, graded papers, and wrote my Friday blog.

 2.  What are the must-sees in your area?

Hmm, well, the capitol buildings, obviously, our Junior Museum is really cool, and I guess we have a Mission.

 3. What is your favourite quote?

There’s probably better ones but as noted in previous posts, “Breathe in, breathe out, move on.”

4. What was the last thing you cooked or ate? 

Last thing I ate were some fiesta chicken tacos at the tap room yesterday.

5. What is something you learned from your grandparents?

Definitely how to persevere. They went through so much during the Depression, war, etc. Their travails put any of my issues into perspective.

6. What makes you happy?

Sunsets, owls, seeing my kids be nice to one another, heated blankets, cold beer, sushi.

 7. What is your best travel memory?

Hmm, that’s tough. I guess it was when Ash and I went to Paris and London. Not because it was amazing trip but it was our first big trip together and we were young and stupid and made a lot of mistakes, but learned a lot too.

 8. What’s the weather like today?

Cool and breezy! It’ll be warm later but for now, we are entering into actual Fall.

 9. Share an interesting fact that you’ve learned

The ways in which they are making this lab-grown meat is actually WORSE for the environment than the cows they’re trying to avoid eating. Plus, they literally take cells from baby cows and replicate them using – get this – cancer cells. That’s how they can make so much, so quickly. People are so blinded by the news channels telling us to save the planet by not eating meat that they’re going to eat this crap.

 10. What is your favourite book, movie or band!

Or all three? I mean, I can’t honestly pick favorites. I recently answered fave book and said either Star Girl or Perks of Being a Wallflower or Catcher in the Rye. Fave movie is a tie between Groundhog Day and The American President. Fave current band is either Sleep Token or Motionless in White.

 11.  Write your favorite poem or haiku?

I honestly don’t have one.

12. What is a local festival or tradition from your area?

Springtime Tallahassee. They have a whole bunch of activities and shows and vendors in our chain of parks, a parade, the 5 and 10ks. It’s a pretty cool event.
