More than normal, I am enjoying this second cup of coffee today. I’m not particularly tired but I am a little blah. Mostly due to the busy upcoming week. It’s like my body knows it needs to conserve. Anyway, Friday I got off work at 3 and went to the store, then came home to just chill. We watched the new animated Nina Turtles movie, which was actually quite good!

On Saturday, I got up and drank coffee and got ready for Isaac’s soccer game. They were playing against a team that looked like they should easily beat but it was neck and neck until halftime and then his team really picked it up and won. Got home and made lunch. Ash needed undershirts so I went all over looking for the right ones, to no avail and settled on ones that are just ok. I was pretty worn so I took about a ten minute nap before Ash woke me because he’d found a good deep freezer on Facebook marketplace and so we had to go pick that up.

By then, we were all motivated so we drained the gas from the generator and let it run out. (No more storms, ok? We’re ready to store it until next season. Perhaps premature but let’s hope.) We then snaked out our shower drain (gross) and did a couple other little cleaning things. It felt good to do all that then sit down for some football.

At one point, I got up to get a beer and looked out this small front window and noticed the neighbor’s dog in the front yard. Sigh. So we went out and tried to get her (a puppy) not to be spooked. Our road is fairly traveled so it could be dangerous. A few cars stopped to “help” but they didn’t do much. Luckily she went to their front door and Ash got her in. The neighbor came over for a bit to watch football and brought his daughter and that was a late night!

Sunday morning was peaceful. Everyone slept in a little so I got up and drank my coffee and got started on cleaning up. Since it was day one of football, I wanted to make sure my house was presentable, in case anyone came to watch. We have a rotating door of people from various fantasy football leagues who sometimes come over. Vacuumed the pool, then we picked Elliot up from a friend’s, ran to Costco, then picked up pizza. Productive morning!

I was sort of irritated the whole day but managed to turn it around. I think, as I said, it’s a lot of low-key stressors hanging in the background of my life that are getting to me. Lots going on this week, punctuated by my oldest getting his driver’s license, having to add him to my insurance, then getting the car on Friday. I mean, it’s a lot! It’s all good stuff but stressful nonetheless.
