- This week has been crazy busy, from having editing to do at work, kids needing to go here, there, and everywhere, getting ready for this beer festival Saturday, and other various activities; it’s been a lot of packed nights.
- Tonight we are going to Ology for trivia, because we told our friend we’d attend when it was finally his time to be the announcer. He’s been wanting to do it forever.
- Tomorrow night we do our pre-set up for Saturday at the arena (which is different than we normally do) then there’s a mixer for the brewers, so that could be really cool.
- With this big event coming up, I feel like I can’t think any farther ahead about stuff. If you asked me about next week, I’d tell you “I’ll start thinking about that on Sunday.”
- Also, this weekend our highs are 103 and 104, respectively. Ugh! I mean, I don’t mind it too much Saturday because we’ll be indoors but I did want to vacuum the pool Sunday. I’d better start early, that’s for sure.
- Next week seems like the heat will break and it’ll rain; I do hope so. My AC needs a break.
- I slept really well the last two nights and now I am suspect. Will it change on a whim and I’ll be all tired again? Until then, I am thankful for full restful nights. I can’t stand being tired at work.
- Because our beer tent has been re-themed into spooky, I am getting a little excited for Fall/Halloween. I normally like the holiday but I am getting even more pumped. It’s just about time to get our those decorations, methinks.
- I’m also pumped for my concert next week but as mentioned in a previous post, I can’t think too much about next week because I have to get through this weekend first. There’s honestly not enough hours in the days to get everything done. I literally get up at 6 each morning and go straight to doing dishes from the night before. This is mostly due to my oldest making food later than he should, but still. I am just jamming work into any time I can find.
- I can’t believe it’s been since 2018 I saw Ghost. OMG, what am I doing neglecting one of my favorite bands? I saw them in ’17 and ’18 respectively and now it’s been way too long. They’ve come a long way in that time; the first time, they were the opener, the second time, they played a small 1300 person theater, and now? a 5500 person venue and they have an opener. That’s progress I suppose.
- I’m excited because when you see Ghost, it’s not just a concert, it’s a full-body experience. I’m also dreading the post-concert let down that happens. It has each other time and I don’t know if I can handle that. BUT, I am seeing Motionless in White in October so at least I know it won’t be too long until I can be immersed in music again.
- OK, the last entry is dedicated to the photos I said I’d post. The one is my painted owl and then what we did with him. The signs are technically the names of our beers for this event and obviously, it goes along with the spooky theme.

I love the owl and direction signs! Cute!!!!
A Ghost concert seems like a captivating experience. Have fun!
