Wednesday ‘Podge – Oh, it’s Wednesday?

From this Side of the Pond

1. What motivates you to work hard?

Timely question, as we did this training at work yesterday and they said they didn’t see me making a lot of progress, which was depressing as heck. I feel like I have; certainly since I started. But so, stuff like that motivates me at work. At home, I like to work hard so I can relax. Even though I am truly never relaxed because there’s always more to do!

2. It’s been said “Ignorance is bliss”…is it?

Yeah, I think so. Observant people are frustrated because they see all the issues. But if you’re aloof and in your own world, you’re probably pretty happy.

3.Would you rather be stuck on a broken elevator or a broken ski lift? Explain. Have you ever actually been stuck on either? Of the common fears listed here what’s your #1- heights-enclosed spaces-snakes-public speaking-the dark-flying.

I HATE FLYING. I know it is safe but I can’t help but feel like I’m going to die every time. We flew to Chicago a few weeks ago and it was fine but I hated every second of it.

4. What’s something you like about the town or city where you live?

I actually kind of like the size of it. You can get most everywhere in about 20-25 minutes and while we have some traffic, every time I come back from a larger city I’m thankful for ours.

5. Life is too short to…

Not just go for it

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Y’ALL, I have been SIIIIIICK. I assume it’s Covid but man is it kicking my butt. Up and down fever but it has never read above 100, chills, body aches. Dayquil helps a lot but then I’m worried I’m prolonging it. There’s really nothing they can give me for it so I’m taking high doses of vitamins and hoping for the best but I am getting to the end of my rope with this!

  1. There’s so much going around right now, not all of it Covid, but a lot of respiratory stuff. I am fighting a sinus infection, finally went to the dr. on Monday so am a bit better now. Hubs said I didn’t snore last night so that’s something ha! Are you working from home or on sick leave? Take care and feel better!

  2. Oh yuck! So sorry you are sick. Hope you are better soon! Your town sounds nice and small. I’ve learned to love living away from big cities. Take care now and I hope you can rest.

  3. I’m so sorry you were sick. I’m late commenting so I hope you are feeling better now. I enjoyed your answers. That would be tough to hear at work, especially if you feel you have been doing well.
