- We were in no hurry to leave Waterville for Cincinnati but we got there early afternoon. We stopped at a gas station in Sydney that we hit the year before and I utilized their microwave to heat up the kids’ leftovers! That’s called value.
- Once to our airbnb, which was an older walk-up over a jeweler, we found this cool arcade place; 10 bucks per person, all you can play, plus they had beer. Cool deal. After that, we walked from our airbnb to the Hofbräuhaus, which was super cool since we’re going to Germany in two years. It was really neat! We had the dunkel, of course, and enjoyed our food. I even let the kids get souvenirs.
- The next day was King’s Island and we got there early, which turned out to be right on time because they let people in about 30 minutes before actual opening. Dakota and I got Starbucks (Thanks God; some of these places we stayed didn’t have Keurigs and I’m sorry but regular drip coffee is just not gonna cut it) and the menfolk got right on the big roller coasters. I’d say the kids were disappointed in the place, compared to Cedar Point, but the food and drinks there were far surperior.
- We just watched movies that night; everyone was exhausted.
- The next day was day one of two longer driving days to get ourselves home. Cincy to Charlotte by way of West Virginia, since we hadn’t been through there (and it was interesting! Mountainous.) Charlotte was cute and our airbnb was nice. Ash and I hit Petty Thieves and Heist breweries, which were both good.
- Today, Monday, was go home today. Charlotte to Atlanta to drop off the rental and get our car, a quick meal at Cracker Barrel, and home by about 6. I am so thankful to be home!
- A summative post will follow, as well as a cumulative list of breweries and bottles shops we went to.
