- Definitely woke up with a headache; I can tell you exactly which beer did it too: Southern Tier Vanilla Scoop strong ale. It’s so good but, well, strong! I got home around 4:45 and made spaghetti for the kids while they swam and Ash hit golf balls in the yard and then I got to work logging our beer can collection. Most of them have already been entered but Ash keeps tweaking his program so some of them lost their photos from before. So we drank some beer and listened to music and churned through some data entry.
- The plan today is to meet Ash and the boys at Decent pizza for lunch then be off the rest of the day. We have one stout to transfer to a keg then later, our friend is coming to pitch the beer he brewed at our house last week. He’s trying to get back into homebrewing but he doesn’t have the equipment, nor space to ferment.
- Our high today is 98 and yeah, it’s been pretty warm but we’re making it ok. I mean, I haven’t had one complaint from the boys all week, which is weird because normally they do. I don’t run the AC during the day (not until maybe 3) because normally, no one is home. My poor AC is old and I’d like it to hang in there so this is helpful. They made do by going out to the pool and staying downstairs. Smart boys!
- Feeling better as the morning goes on, the caffeine and Advil kick in. Drinking my water and doing stretches to feel good too. No one is really here today because we have a four day weekend so I guess they figured they’d go ahead and make it five!
- I too am looking forward to that; I need to catch up on stuff in the house, squeeze in some runs when it’s cooler in the morning, maybe even work in the yard. Enjoy your weekend, everyone and happy early 4th of July!
