- Over the weekend, I took my daughter with me and we got pedicures. She has only had two before that so she was excited. She asked, “Why don’t we do this more often?” LOL, because it isn’t cheap! I can’t believe how much more they are charging now. I remember going back in the day and paying 24 bucks for one. Now it’s 38!
- I think we’re going to play Bingo at Ology on Wednesday. Younger kids will probably come with, since others will be there and Isaac enjoyed it last time. I am looking forward to it.
- I’m starting to feel that need for a vacation. I hadn’t been, because now’s the slow time at work so if I was going to need a break, it was right after session. Now that we’ve decompressed from that and merged fully into Summertime, I feel that pull – need to get away. Sadly, we don’t leave for another month for vacation.
- It doesn’t help that people on Facebook are all posting their vacation pictures. I’m not jealous; just needing my own break from the daily grind.
- I finally managed to do what I have intended to do for a couple weeks now: wake up early and go for a run. I am sorry to report that it was already hot and humid, thereby defeating the purpose, but I am pretty glad I did it regardless.
- I also remembered to bring a blanket and a pillow in (not gonna lie; people here nap) and to bring some leftover pistachio pudding cake. I definitely had to get that out of my house, lest I eat it all!
- Ash and I took a four mile walk yesterday starting around 8:15 PM and I cannot believe how hot it still was! The feels like was 92 even then. I love Florida, I do, but sometimes it throws crazy temps at you early on in the Summer and seems weird. Last June was insanely hot, though it seems this year isn’t as hot, and it didn’t come in as early.
- When we got home, our middle was in the living room watching the Christmas 2013 home video while putting together a Lego set so we watched it with him. Tried to get my oldest to come downstairs but he said it was weird to watch videos with us. Man, I remember being a teenager too but he is in that phase I guess. Funny to watch the kids ten years ago though; so different yet, so many of the same traits. Glad we recorded so much of their childhood.
- I found out yesterday that one of Toto’s singers (I believe from about 82-86) is John Williams’ son AND sang the Gummi Bears theme song. Now THAT is random.

My 7 year old granddaughter has evidently had several pedicures. She asked me how old I was when I had my first pedicure and I told her I was an adult and her daddy was her age. She was shocked!
Yeah I honestly didn’t start getting them until I got pregnant in 2007!
I think it’d be fun to go get a pedicure with a daughter, but I don’t have one of those!
Ugh, you’re right. You need to get up super early for a run if you want to beat the heat. I can only imagine what it’s like in Florida this time of year. I don’t like to walk the dogs now until 8pm or later.
I get my nails and a pedicure every two weeks. It’s expensive indeed.
We’re going to have triple digit weather this coming weekend. Not looking forward to the horrible heat.
