Doing Sunday Stealing helps me ease into Monday

1) What is your favorite way to spend a lazy day?

Man, I am terrible at an actual lazy day; I just can’t sit all day. SO I guess for me, it would be easing into the morning with coffee and tablet games, then a little work around the house, maybe a nice lunch, pedicure in the afternoon, pool time, or time with friends.

2) What do you look forward to every week?

This is always changing, I think, but lately, I look forward to my Monday keto days to feel cleansed, and then I look forward to evenings when we drink some beer and play Golden Tee.

3) Name three pet peeves you currently have

People still wearing masks alone in their cars; people who throw trash on the ground in obvious ways; people who say “supposably” (I keep hearing it!).

4) If you were to win an all expense paid vacation for two weeks to anywhere in the world, where would you choose to go? What are some of the things you would like to experience while you were there?

I am not a huge traveler but I guess I’d say Japan. It would be really neat to see everything there. I’d want to eat sushi and wagyu and just experience the culture.

5) What was one of your favorite toys as a kid? Did you save any special things from your childhood that you still have today?

I had a lot of cool toys but the one that came to mind was this mad scientist lab thing. you had a plastic skeleton of a monster and it came with this play-doh like stuff that you built onto it to create the monster but then it had a huge tank and you added some liquid that bubbled and ate away at the outside of the thing until it was back to a skeleton. I don’t know why I liked that but it was really cool.

6) What is your favorite holiday? What is your least favorite holiday?

Favorite is either Halloween or Thanksgiving. Least, if we’re calling it a holiday, is Valentine’s Day. What a BS Hallmark holiday.

7) Have you ever met anyone famous? What concerts have you attended?

I have met famous people: Shaq, the woman who played Angela on Who’s the Boss?, Bill Goldberg, Chris Jericho (these are wrestlers), and a slew of others whose names escape me. I have a whole list of the concerts I have been to at home so I’ll try to cobble together a list: Counting Crows, Soundgarden, Lagwagon, Dropkick Murphys, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, ZZ Top, Cher, Cindi Lauper, NSYNC, Jimmy Buffett (with Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, and a few others), Def Leppard, Styx, Motley Crue, Poison, Joan Jett, Ice Nine Kills, Black Veil Brides, Motionless in White, Iron Maiden, Ghost, Avatar, Slipknot, Behemoth, Gojira, Volbeat, and in a couple weeks, we’re seeing Blink-182.

8) Are there any expressions that people use that really annoy you? If so, what are they?

I hate when people say “for all intensive purposes.” I also hate any of those buzzwords associated with Covid like “unprecedented” .

9) Do you like your name? Are you named after anyone? Is there a story how you got your name? Would you change it if you could? If so, what name would you give yourself?

Not really. It’s always bothered me. No, I am not named after anyone in particular but my dad liked the French name Marie Claire but since my mom’s middle name is Marie and they wanted to give it to my sister, I just got the second one. I don’t know what I would change mine to, even though I have never liked mine!

10) It is said that it’s the little things that make life worth living. Name five of those little things in your life

Long walks with my husband and/or kids, finding new music, trying new beers, a really great sunset, the smell of the ocean.

  1. You’ve been to a lot of good concerts!
I see masks popping up again – in cars and out. I’m thinking maybe it’s because the air quality index is bad in parts, not necessarily covid related? Supposably? (sorry, couldn’t help it!)
