- The past few days have been ugly and rainy, ever since that storm Wednesday night. We really hadn’t had much rain in a while so I guess it was good, if you want to see it as such. I know that I personally struggle with days of no sun in a row. I start to feel a little less human. This weekend I will need to make it a point to go outside. Hopefully Sunday
- When the power was out – and when my oldest finally shut up about HOW HOT IT IS (even though it was so not hot in the house) – I was amazed at how quiet and dark our neighborhood could be. We live on a road that gets a fair bit of traffic from people entering the area so for once, it was so still. It was almost eerie but I actually found myself comforted by it.
- I drove in some serious rain last night on the way to get pizza. I mean, I wasn’t even sure I’d make it, it was that bad. But I did and the evening was fun. We were meeting with a friend of ours to go over some brewing plans. I ate twice yesterday too, which is not like me. But I was just so hungry. I feel like once a month or so I have a day where I could just eat and eat. But in like, 2 days, I won’t even want food at all.
- We’re going out tonight for father’s day, because everyone knows you don’t attempt to go out ON the day, because it’s way too crowded. And well, I guess not everyone knows because that’s why it’s so damn crowded! Ash and I will probably go up to Deep later because they’re releasing a new pale ale.
- I got it into my head that I’d try to find my dad’s favorite dessert, black forest cake, but now I have options and have to make it come to fruition. Too bad I can’t just walk into a place and buy a slice. Seems like a custom order deal. We shall see! have a good day, everyone.
