MMMM + Last blog post of the days off

Personally, I am very ready to go back to work. However, this week will be flat out weird for me. Tomorrow I have to go back but the semester does not begin until Wednesday. So I shall catch up on normal job things and prep for teaching. Then, unlike normal, I will be out Thursday and Friday. My job is only crucial during the beginning of the semester because of the whole drop/add factor. If students who don’t attend are not dropped in the system, they could lose scholarships, etc. I know you wanted to know that important info!

So anyway, I ran my last long run of my training – 9 miles – and it feels good to be almost done with this thing. Three tomorrow and five on Thursday, which will be interesting since we’ll already be in Orlando. The half is on Saturday at some ungodly hour but we’re staying in one of the Disney hotels that is supposedly within walking distance of the start line. I keep hoping that I’ll feel great on raceday but you never know. I just have to trust in the training.

Ash and some of his friends are having a retro gaming day and I can’t argue with it because we have had a lot of days off and have done just about everything we could with the kids. At this point, I’m just ready to get back to the routine. He promised to take us to dinner when he got home; a nice way to wrap it all up.

So, duets huh?

My first choice – a Smokey Robinson song – is a duet with Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow from the movie “Duets”. LOL.

The next is a song I have always loved: Almost Paradise – Mike Reno and Anne Wilson

And now I am picking one of my all-time favorite duets, even though they never made a video. This is Cher and Peter Cetera – After All.

Thanks for reading, y’all. Happy Monday and Happy New Year!
