1. After having so very much to do leading up to Halloween, as I sit here with very few pressing matters, I feel that – surely – I have forgotten something. It’s weird not to be busy.
2. I had zero knee pain during my race but after a few days, my left ITB has been giving me issues. I am not happy about this, seeing as how I begin a new, more intense training plan this coming Tuesday.
3. Persimmons. Someone Ash works with gave us about 7 of them and I have no idea what to do with them.
4. My cell phone is two years old and I want a new one. But a.) I have to wait until the 19th and b.) I am scared about switching companies and the higher bill I’ll have to pay, since you have to get data these days.
5. I want something new. In general. Not just phone related.
6. I have been drinking a lot of Earl Grey tea lately. There’ something intoxicating about the smell and in the cooler months, I prefer tea in the evenings.
7. 18 months is a good age. Isaac is a pretty cool kid right now. Though he does whine a lot, it seems. But when he’s not, he’s awesome.
8. The other day when I left my office to go to the kids’ Halloween festival, I busted out the front door of Williams and an “important looking” guy was shooting some sort of FSU commercial. I feel sort of bad that they were filming right then; they probably aimed for a very not-busy time – which it was – and I went and ruined it!
9. I want someone to come to my office and show me how to get off a wordpress hosted blog and get my own domain. I know I can still use wordpress but I do not understand all this hosting stuff. And I cannot seem to do it based on reading alone. I am so much more visual than I can even begin to explain.
10. Today is Bonesday and I am so very excited. As of 9 PM EST, I don’t want anyone to talk to me or, hell, even look at me. I’ll be busy!
11. In about an hour. I’m going to pick up my child and attend a VPK field trip to a place called The Painted Pony, which is basically a farm and the kids will ride ponies, pet animals, take a hay ride, and then paint an actual pony. I’m just excited for a morning spent out in the country.
12. I drank a beer last night called Tommyknocker Pumpkin Ale and then bottle had the legend of the Tommyknocker, who was an little gnome-like elf guy who helped miners get to safety. Unlike the creepy movie of the same title.
13. My previous Saturday plans have been delayed so now we’re going to one of Elliot’s friend’s birthday parties. Though I don’t mind, it does mean I have to buy a gift. Luckily, I am pretty keen on what 5 year old boys like.
