Oh Lordy, my Tuesdays are starting to get overloaded with blogging obligations. But I won’t abandon the Random! I cannot, I shall not.
- The weather is unexpectedly beautiful but my yard is beginning that long descent into untidiness that I despise. I hate raking leaves with the passion of a thousand burning suns.
- We went to dinner Friday night and behind us was a family: mom, dad, kid about 7 or 8, and grandparents. The grandmother sat across from the mother and son and next to the dad and on the other side of him was grandpa… who was reading a book! I was amazed at how he just rudely tuned everyone out. He also looked like Mr. Belvedere.
- A friend of mine who was also training for this upcoming half marathon decided to quit. She said it was stressing her out and just interfering with her life. Though I understand, it makes me a little sad too.
- Meanwhile, I am on week 8 of 12 and really getting down to it. This is my highest mileage week (two 5 milers, 2 days of 45 minute elliptical, and a 10 miler on Saturday) and I am trying my best to just be sort of zen about it. Just let it happen.
- I talk about running because it takes up so much of my physical time but also, my mental time. But sometimes I feel like an ass for talking about exercising. So many people seem to resent me for it.
- I’ve been grinding my teeth a lot lately and it’s giving me a headache. I have to make a conscious effort to stop!
- When you’re friends with someone, it is only a matter of time before they’ll be mad at you for SOMEthing. I think this might be a universal truth.
- I have a cactus in my kitchen on the window sill. I want more but they used to always die on me and I am afraid of buying more, in case I’d be pushing my luck.
- I am *really* irritated about something at work but I am trying to let it go. you cannot please everyone. More to come on this in another post.
That’s all I can offer you today, faithful readers. I am too angered by certain work situations to coerce my brain into writing anything else. In preparation for my favorite show’s return – in a few weeks – here’s a sexy promo photo of the two leads in Bones. I am equal opportunity today instead of all man. 😉

Bones is a cool show. I have a hens and chicks in my kitchen. I just moved it because it wasn’t doing well. It’s amazing that something so low maintenance was starting to look like crap…I think it’s on the verge of a comeback 😉 Way to go on your mileage!
Hey, if talking about exercise makes you feel groovy then talk about it! You’re doing something wonderful for you. We only have one life – one body so make the most of it. It was good to random up with you today!

So looking forward to Bones return. Wondering how they are going to handle the baby thing and all.
I admire you for running–I sure can’t do that.
Ohhhh! I love BONES! I hadn’t seen that promo pic yet – awesome! 🙂
I’m hoping the weather will be unexpectedly beautiful here soon – the yard is looking horrendous since we had an extended heat wave followed by tons and tons of rain…so my weeds have overtaken my flower beds. I can’t wait to get rid of the jungle.
A grandfather that was reading and tuning everyone else out? That is rude.
I’m just so impressed that you run – running and I had a disagreement years ago and haven’t spoken to each other since. 😉
I forgot I had to log in via Twitter on a different blog since they didn’t allow you to input your comment as ‘guest’ with the usual info…weird. So in case you have momentary confusion, the last comment was moi. 😉
I do the teeth grinding thing too. It’s a hard habit to break. Usually I don’t realize it until I have a headache and my jaw hurts. I must say that’s a great pic of Bones. They both look so sexy.
I’m impressed that you have a live cactus! I just threw out to dead plants this morning. I just can’t do live plants. I hope the work thing gets settled. That stinks!
