It’s Happy List time, people

Via HERE

You guys should really do this if you didn’t already get to my site from her site; it’s a good idea!

SO, topping my happy list this week is the wonderful outing that David and I had yesterday to Pebble Hill Plantation. Seeing as how we live in the South, we may as well visit some of our history. Though the tour didn’t touch much on the whole slave issue (I know any time the P-word is mentioned, that springs to mind) but it was really quite interesting. You can read on the site about the house’s history and the long line of strong independent women who ran it. Got some great pictures too if you click on my flickr sidebar.

Secondly, I finally made some coffee in the French Press that doesn’t taste like it dripped from my car’s crankcase. When we went to the (joke of a) expo for the marathon, they were giving away sample bags of Community coffee. My mom loves that stuff, been drinking it for probably two decades; ever since my dad worked in New Orleans. Well, it made a decent cup of joe this morning. Woot!

Thirdly, though my husband will be at the mall playing (Magic) all day (12-5 at least), I am feeling really motivated today. Sometimes when I’m left with the kids, I feel like the world is crashing down around me. Not today, boy. I’m going to do laundry and organize and cut coupons and make food AND go to Target.

Fourth(ly?), it’s a new day; cold but sunny and clear. I honestly feel like I can take on anything when the sun is shining.

Ok, that about does it. What’s on your happy list?
