Full Circle

Well, I am back at work and in some ways, I am actually kind of glad. I find that I thrive – rely on – the routine of coming into work, eating my breakfast, browsing my normal sites, then getting down to business. And honestly, I sometimes get a lot more web-related work done in the office, during down times, but because I am already in the working mode.

I have added some things to my little office that I acquired over the break. I hung my new Bear calendar by an artist named Bisell. I put up a few picture frames with pictures of my family. There’s a new tube of Dancing Waters hand lotion on my desk. Above me, the plaque I found at Target on clearance months ago that reads “Fantasy Football Legend” now hangs above me on the wall, for I won our league this year and I am the champion… of the world. *snicker*. To my right, a new 365 day calendar, this one, Word Origins. I feel a renewed sense of purpose in here. Feng Shui has nothing on my office.

And now, not to be a lame-ass who talks about the weather (fercryinoutloud) but what is up, weather? Normally at this time in Tallahassee, we’re having frezing cold mornings with wind and ice on cars and frost on the grass. Well, this morning it is muggy and foggy and 60. It looks like next week we’ll get some cooler temps but this is completely unlike us. It sort of pisses me off but at the same time, it means I don’t have to run either my heat or A/C, which lowers my bills substantially. THAT is a good thing.

I have no marvelous insight for you all today, just the normal blah of getting back to work. So tell me, what are you all doing today?

  1. I have been weather obsessed since the Snowmageddon here in Portland. And I feel like kind of a boob talking about it all the time – but 12 straight days of snow, and then we got more last night. Sheesh! The weather is going to be wonky – I get it. But the skies really need to give us a dose of normality once in a while. But at least you found the bright side in not running your AC/heat.

  2. Working over here too. Bahhhhhhhh

Where did my break go? Why did it go by so fast? I want it back.

I just hung two frames on my walls that have been sitting on my office floor for about 2 months now. I need more stuff.
