Fill in the blanks

Via Friday Fill-ins

1. Snow Storm.

2. I’m looking forward to lunch with an old co-worker.

3. Marshmallow World is the best Christmas song ever!

4. One of my favorite old tv shows is The Twilight Zone.

5. I’m done with this week’s to-do list.

6. The most enjoyable thing around the holidays is sitting by the tree at night with a cup of hot chocolate.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to a surprise birthday party dinner, tomorrow my plans include raking leaves and Sunday, I want to update Elliot’s baby book!

Those are always fun to do. It helps give the day some perspective too. Anyway, rolled out of bed feeling awfull groggy this morning. Note to self: midnight is too late to take Nyquil if you want to be conscious at 6 AM. UGH. It is cool this morning but feels colder because of the rain. We get rain in the winter the way northern places get snow. It sort of comes in little flurries but of course, doesn’t stick like snow.

I’m totally procrastinating today. It’s the last day of classes, next week is finals week (which we English people don’t have) and then the week after that, grades are due. The next two weeks will be relatively slow, though I have some projects to be working on before we depart for our holiday. They’ll probably fly by, knowing the way December works. Don’t you find that once this month begins and you plan all your shopping and wrapping and meals and parties, etc, that everything just tumbles so quickly into this big messy avalanche ending in New Year’s Day when you realize that another year has passed and now we have to start all over again? That’s the way it works for me, anyway.

And in the time it took me to write this and also, reply to two emails, 20 minutes passed. Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

Happy Friday!
