Mid-weekend, middle class neighbourhood

The Confederate Jasmine that has taken over the old arbor in our backyard is blooming. It smells wonderful; clean and light, reminding me that Spring is here and I should appreciate it. In honor of my yard, which is ok in the front and a horrendous nightmare in the back, I mowed today. The front could use some fertilizer and a couple bushes need trimming. I find it so tedious trying to fit these kinds of activities in, between caring for Elliot and Ash and the house and somehow, finding time for myself. It’s pretty difficult.

Today was spent watching the NFL draft and splurging: we ate pizza. I even drank a beer! (Newcastle). I feel like I am getting sick but I am pretty sure it’s just a combination of allergies and being run-down at the end of a semester. Add some stress in there and you have my issue. Luckily, things die down next week a little and I can relax. I’ll post more tomorrow along with my next 365 and a recap of the awful dream I had last night.
