Am I the only person who doesn’t “get” Amy Winehouse? I realize she’s got this “new hip sound” that’s “radically different” but she kinda freaks me out. She sort of twitches and convulses when she sings, she looks weird (but maybe that’s a side effect of the crack), and her songs just don’t turn me on. But she must be some kinda special to win all those Grammys.

This weekend was very productive for me so that’s a huge factor in my good mood today, even though Elliot is obviously about to grow about a foot because he was up ALL NIGHT LONG. Ok, he was up at 1, 2:30, 4 and 5:30 but STILL. It felt like all night, that’s for damn sure. He napped 4-6 in the evening and was in bed by 9. I should have known he was gearing up to grow just from that. Speaking of babies, Chris and Beth had their baby over the weekend. Go wish them well on the little guy.

Everyone’s having babies! Or so it seems. I guess it balances out all the people I know who are having a shitty 2008 so far (people getting divorced, dying, etc.) Although, I guess that’s the “circle of life” and all. Doors closing, windows opening. Sun rise, sun set. ANYway, I may be awake but my brain is still a wee bit foggy and I haven’t yet had enough coffee for any more coherency so I leave you now and will return later with more deep thoughts.
