Because I seriously don’t feel like I got to relax much, if any at all. We spent most of Saturday restoring this table we got at a garage sale. It was a ghastly shade of blueish purple horribly painted so we bought a sander and blasted the hell out of it, getting rid of at least 3 layers of paint and some dings and scratches. I primed and painted and now, if you’ll visit flickr, you can see the finished product. Looks ten times better but then again, I failed to take before pictures. Somewhere in all that, Ash mowed the big part of the yard and I the small. We ate Mexican for dinner and had DQ dipped cones for desert. Our weekends sans children are something we’re trying to cherish while we still can.
Yesterday we saw Rush Hour 3, which was more of the same stuff, just a different setting. but it was still relatively entertaining. I actually finished the table yesterday and I can officially say that my right arm and hand are incapacitated. From painting and then cooking and everything else I do with that arm primarily, it’s sore as hell. And Tylenol doesn’t do anything for muscle pain. In fact, I wonder why anyone bothers to take that stuff in the first place. Is it a placebo or something because it has never once worked for me.
Work this week holds many challenges… oh who am I kidding? This week will be slow and boring but I have things I could do to keep up and accomplish. We’ll see. For now, it’s blog-reading and time-wasting.
