Vote or die… or sit in your office and play Poppit

FSU has almost 40,000 students. This means that out of the sheer number on campus at any given moment, we all don’t know what is going on with the student body. We can’t; it isn’t feasible. However, the three student government parties always try to run these campaigns and attack kids on the sidewalks, trying to get them to vote. Mostly, kids endure their babble and move on.

I was walking back from the Circle K when a girl in some pretty damn high heeled boots hassled me about voting. She asked if I was planning on voting in the SGA election so I informed her that i was not a student. She then asks if I was a student, would I vote. Well, just to be mean I said, “No, I don’t vote.” You know, and I know, that this isn’t true. Even though, deep down, I don’t think my vote ever counts, I still vote in all real elections. So why I even said that, I do not know. Do I feel bad for saying it? Not really. I’ve never known the reigning government party to do anything for the school as a whole; it’s just a popularity contest. Much like our own American government.

  1. I’m approaching 23 and i’ve never voted in any election. All politicians are corrupt, and your voice dosen’t matter, as the 2000 elections proved with our glorious state.

Money matters, how much you are financed.. Just like Rome, but less brural, or maybe more so.
