Do your thang

I just want to say that the last forty-five minutes were spent in a state of stressful angst, but in the good kind of getting-it-done mode. I successfully booked a reservation for my dogs to be boarded during the Christmas break and set their appointment for vaccination. I don’t like the idea of my dogs sitting in a cage all day – wait – they do that for nine hours while Ash and I are at work. Ohh, except it’s in the comfort of our home. I like my vet though and have been going there for a good two years now. The three will be in a cage together which is large enough for a one hundred fifty pound dog. They get to be in their own run outside for a couple hours a day too. I know that they are “just dogs” but they are also our family and it is inconceivable to fly them to Arizona so this is what we must do.

Ash is in the process of booking our flight. We will drive to Orlando on the night of December 22nd and leave out early the next morning, to return on the 31st. It will be weird not having the dogs on the first but the vet will be closed. It seems a lot of work for a vacation but since his family is spread out all over the country (ok, his 2 remaining family members are in Ohio and Arizona respectively) this is what we must do if we want to see them.

I head to class in about an hour and a half. I’m glad I figured out Christmas plans…. now, how to pay for it?
