Female Trouble (but entirely unlike anything John Waters)

My boob is sore. You see, my milk supply had begun to dwindle, because I had cut out an evening feeding and the nighttime feedings. So, I reintroduced the 5 PM feeding just for a couple days to boost output. Well, it worked so last night I got over full and now, I think I have a blocked duct. I can alleviate this with warm compresses and massage. But in the meantime, it’s annoying and makes me cranky.

On the mini pill + breastfeeding = no pregnancy. But I am tired and my back hurts. EITHER, I am somehow a medical marvel OR I have been sleeping like crap, going to bed late, and using poor posture when on the elliptical. I’ve not had any nausea and the sleepiness is not like before. When I was pregnant with Elliot, I passed out on the couch as soon as I got home and could not physically move my limbs without momentous effort. This is not the same. This is, “It’s 10:30 and I’m kind of bored. Yeah, I could sleep.”

I am going to the doctor tomorrow for my annual so any and all possible issues will be cleared up. I do and do not look forward to it.

Aren’t you glad I shared this with you? Admit it.

One of the reasons I never did well in math was my doubt. I would do a problem and get an answer but then think it was wrong, go back, and do it completely wrong. Most times, it turned out that my first answer had been correct. I take this doubt with me into other things, like accomplishments on a bigger scale. I don’t believe if something good happens, for it must be too good to be true. So that’s why I didn’t tell you this sooner.

In the July August issue of Pregnancy Magazine, look for me on the very last page. It’ll be a 500 word birth story and there should be a picture of Elliot. I don’t consider this something “big” but I’m pretty excited about it. I wish I had a job where I could be contracted to write little pieces like this all the time. That’s my dream job, I think.

Day 28 – x365

Jason A. –

Junior year, I really liked you. On your guitar, you played me Brown Eyed Girl. I hear your teeth are jacked up now; we all know what that means…
