Remember a couple weeks ago when I wrote the post about some new things I have tried and I reviewed them? (That was an awkward sentence) I thought I might go ahead and do another one this week. For the sheer fun of it.
Been kind of broke this week so I made lunches at home and resorted to other options as well. One thing I tried were Amy’s organic burritos. I liked the Southwestern one the best because it has these pieces of masa flour that sort of act like a meat substitute but mostly serve to keep you full. Which is good for me because if work is slow, I tend to think about food.
Samsung A 737
So I got a new phone the Friday before Easter. I’m just now starting to feel comfortable with it. You know how that is: getting used to different keys for texting, new menu options and locations. I have only ever owned LG and Nokia cell phones but this Samsung is nice. I like the camera feature but it sucks your battery’s life. It’s comfortable to talk on and sounds good. Also, the larger screen is nice. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for something new but who doesn’t need something expensive with tons of features (although this one does stream music).
The Best American Nonrequired Reading, 2007
So I mentioned all those bookstore gift cards I got…BIL and I went to the bookstore on Monday and I was at a total loss for what to get. I wanted to read A Thousand Splendid Suns but I didn’t want to spend 26 dollars on the hard cover edition. Thanks to my friend, Jay, who happened to also be at Borders, I picked up this little gem. It’s perfect if you only have little snippets of time to read because this has little snippets of entertaining content that fill those spaces perfectly. Although, there’s one short story in there… something about a pregnant woman who is half-assedly trying to kill her baby. I just don’t think I can read that. But the rest is good.
Well, that’s all I have for now; as previously stated: broke. Maybe after I get back from Athens and some money comes in from another source (BIL?) I’ll be able to buy and review more fun stuff. For now, Happy Friday.
