Not that you care but if I had played Jamal Lewis in my fantasy football league, I would have had 26 more points. ::grumble grumble::
So, it’s 5:03 on Sunday afternoon and all the action has quieted down now. My parents got in around 11 yesterday, after my 2 hours of biking, and we almost immediately left to go to the FSU game. Being FSU staff paid off: the lot I normally park in is 24 hours restricted, meaning I got to get I with my pass and not fight with game-dayers for a spot. Sure, we had to walk about 3 blocks but we’re all perfectly capable people. We only stayed for the majority of the first half, simply because the Ohio/Michigan game was more important to my dad and Ash. But that’s ok; my mom and I hit the mall for some FSU paraphenalia and the store for wine while the guys watched football. I don’t know what it is but I can’t care enough about college. I’ll watch it and I certainly know what’s going on. And I do root for my alma mater. But beyond that, it pales in comparison to NFL, for me.
We went out to Bonefish last night where I shared a bang bang shrimp with my mom, along with a salad and some sashimi. She had mussels, which I also ate. Luckily, they did not do to me what they did to her: she was up half the night, sick. But all in all, it was a good meal, even though our waiter was a scumbag.
My parents left town this morning around 10:45, after a quick breakfast at Brueggers. Ash and I, as usual, went to Pockets for football but Ash was so tired from getting up at 5:45 to stand in line for a Wii that he JUST missed out on (the friend he was with got the last voucher) that we ended up coming home by about 3:45, which afforded me time to get gas, an Xmas present for him, and do laundry, all while he napped. And boy was that a long sentence!! So now, after having washed the pups and disinfected their crates, I am enjoying the quiet of the evening, the lull before going back to work tomorrow. Although, since I only have to work 2 days this week, I can’t really complain. It’s almost like tomorrow is Thursday!
